Halotest 25 – A Potent Prosteroid
Halotest 25 is a prosteroid that is being sold as a dietary supplement. It is a direct clone of a steroid called ProMagnon that was introduced in 2007. Halotest 25 is from Powerlab Nutrition, one of the “quasi legal”steroid producers on the market who is actually advertising on facebook and other places (pretty bold). Halotest is a potent prosteroid, but it does come with some drawbacks. The good part about a steroid like Halotest is that it is pretty mild on the liver and also mild on the hairline and estrogen. That doesn’t mean you won’t have those effects, it simply means that it isn’t the worst offender on the market of chemically altered prosteroids. People still get bitch tits from things like halotest, so you can’t rule it out but it shouldn’t cause it on its own.
Halotest 25 is contains the steroid 4-chloro-17a-methyl-andro-4-ene3, 17bdiol, which is a similar steroid to oral turinibol and clostebol. This steroid shouldn’t convert to estrogen nor DHT, which makes it pretty free from side effects. It has been around for a long time and can be found from numerous sources on the internet. Users report gains of 13-18lbs on a 30 day cycle of this compound and it i considered fairly mild when it comes to side effects.
Halotest 25 is a dry compound that causes little to no water retention, so it is best stacked with a wet compound like 4-androsterone or 19Nor-Androsterone or 3Beta-Hydroxyandrost-5-Ene-17-One. This is because you will want some estrogen in your system when taking a dry compound like this. Wet compounds add in additional stimulation and cause an increased effect.
Halotest 25 is composed of the steroid 4-chloro-17a-methyl-andro-4-ene 3, 17bdiol. It is technically a prohormone since it has a diol structure, requiring 3bHSD to make it a fully active steroid. It uses the 17a Methyl delivery system, which has recently been found to be illegal and could cause liver stress in people that abuse alcohol, take Tylenol or other prescription drugs and who might have a pre-existing condition. The structure contains the 4-Chloro group, making it resistant to most standard metabolism. It is likely a pretty weak steroid but it’s long half life is what accounts for it’s mass building effects. All 17aMethyl products seem to cause this immediate muscle “bloat” that users think is muscle gain, when in fact it is really cellular water that you typically lose right after a cycle.
Low Quality Muscle
The major problem with 4-chloro-17a-methyl-andro-4-ene 3, 17b-diol is that much of the muscle gained is lost when you stop using the steroid. This is because the 18lbs you gain isn’t really “muscle” it is in fact cellular water. The common cycle of Halotest 25 is a gain of 18lbs and then a loss of 13lbs after the cycle which isn’t the best scenario for the bodybuilder wanting to keep quality muscle.
This quick gain and loss is a problem because everyone knows you are on steroids when you gain 18lbs in 3-4 weeks, only to lose 13lbs of that mass when you stop the steroid. Unless you like being looked at as a “roid head” you will want to avoid 4-chloro-17a-methyl-andro-4-ene 3, 17b diol for this reason.
